Netflix’s Christmas movie Our Little Secret isn’t focused on music, but some well-known songs, along with some Christmas tunes, play at different points of the story. As part of Lindsay Lohan’s creative partnership with Netflix comes the Christmas rom-com Our Little Secret, starring Lohan and Ian Harding. Our Little Secret takes the audience to the town of Peachtree City, Georgia, to meet Avery (Lohan) and Logan (Harding), who met when they were very young and formed a strong friendship which, with time, developed into love. However, Avery and Logan break up when she gets a job in London and he doesn’t want her to go.

Ten years later, Avery is dating Cam (Jon Rudnitsky) and Logan is dating Cassie (Katie Baker), and they prepare to spend the holidays with their respective partners – what they aren’t counting on is Cam and Cassie being siblings. Avery and Logan decide not to tell anyone they know each other and dated years ago, while Logan helps Avery win over Cam’s mom and she helps him with a construction proposal. Throughout Avery and Logan’s efforts to keep their secret, many well-known songs play, mostly Christmas ones, along with an unexpected yet fitting song while they’re at church.

When Every Song On The Our Little Secret Soundtrack Plays In The Movie
The Christmas Spirit Is Very Alive In Our Little Secret’s Soundtrack

"Go Santa Go!" by Howell-Freundlich Overdrive: the first song in Our Little Secret plays when Avery and Logan arrive at her father’s home, where they are throwing a going away party for her. The song keeps playing as Avery talks to Logan’s mother and grandma (and the latter shares a bit too much about her taste in men), and Logan and Avery’s father talk about Logan’s relationship with Avery. The song stops when Avery’s father makes a toast and Logan takes over with terrible results.
"Summer" by Calvin Harris: after Avery and Logan’s breakup in front of everyone at the party, Our Little Secret cuts to a montage of key events (mostly pop culture ones) that happened during the next ten years. The montage is accompanied by Calvin Harris’ “Summer”, and among the events shown are the ice bucket challenge, the success of Stranger Things, the Notre Dame cathedral fire, the Bernie Sanders meme, and more.

"Tis The Season" by Rehya Stevens: this is the song playing at Erica’s house when Cam and Avery arrive. The party has already started when they arrive, which only makes Avery more nervous. The song keeps playing while Avery drinks (or more like chugs) a glass of champagne and Erica makes a passive-aggressive comment on her jeans. The song stops when Logan and Cassie arrive.
"The Happiest Christmas Tree" by Aliana Lohan: very fittingly, “The Happiest Christmas Tree” starts playing when Avery and Logan leave to get the Christmas tree for Erica’s house. The song plays as the camera shows the place where they will be getting the tree and Avery talks on the phone, but right when she hangs up, the song stops to bring the attention back to Avery and Logan’s dynamic.
Aliana Lohan is Lindsay Lohan’s youngest sister, who is also an actress and singer.

"Celebration" – Erica takes everyone to church and, as part of Logan’s efforts to get Erica to like Avery, he signs her up to read during the service. However, Avery eats Callum’s THC gummies that she found in his jacket and is too high to read what she’s supposed to. Avery begins to improvise and uses lines from Kool & the Gang’s “Celebration” before the church’s choir begins to sing the iconic song. Thankfully, the attendees follow along and Avery’s improvised speech is a big success with the community.
"Otherside" by ED. 1T: Avery, Cam, Logan, and Cassie go out to a bar at night and this song accompanies them as they arrive and while they settle and order their drinks. Cassie points out Logan has been acting weird but thinks it’s because he’s spending Christmas away from home, and then Sophie arrives. Sophie makes small talk with Avery before the latter has to take a call outside, where she sees through the window that Sophie and Cam are still very into each other.

"Jingle Jangle" by Rehya Stevens: this classic Christmas song plays while Cam, Avery, Cassie, and Logan walk down the street before they split to go buy their respective Secret Santa gifts. Cam is acting weird and Cassie and Avery point it out, while Cassie tells Logan that she’s into black lace, hinting that’s what he should get her for Christmas.
"We Wish You A Merry Christmas" by Danny Infantino: the above classic is immediately followed by another one. Logan follows Avery into a shop to tell her that Cam lied to her about when he got home the night before, as Cam told Logan that Avery doesn’t like it when he comes back home late after drinking.

"Light On" by Maggie Rogers: after the whole Christmas disaster, Avery and Logan carry on with their lives separately. This song starts playing as Our Little Secret shows Logan back at work and reminiscing about the moments he shared with Avery days before. It keeps playing as he visits his mom and grandma and Avery drinks wine alone at her apartment while she also looks back at the good moments she recently had with Logan. It also accompanies Avery as she unpacks her stuff at her family home and during Logan and Avery’s respective New Year’s celebrations.
"Thanks To Me" by The Mears Brothers: this song plays very softly in the background as Logan arrives at a BBQ place to meet with his boss and, to his surprise, with Stan, who got his construction proposal thanks to Avery insisting Erica gave it to him. Logan agrees to work for Stan, finally breaking free from his square and not-very-nice boss.

"It’s Christmas" by Amber Woodhouse: the final song in Our Little Secret starts playing when Erica is revealed to be in Stan’s car and tells Avery to share the cookies they just gave her. It’s also revealed Stan and Erica are now together (and very happy). The song keeps playing as Logan and Avery go back inside, as they’re now back together and living in Avery’s family house. A final animated sequence shows their wedding, accompanied by this song.
Where To Listen To The Our Little Secret Soundtrack
Not All Songs Are Easily Accessible
As Our Little Secret isn’t a big release, the full soundtrack isn’t available on Spotify or Apple Music, but most of the individual songs can be found on these music platforms and YouTube. The Christmas classics included in the Our Little Secret soundtrack can be found everywhere and performed by different artists, but one that won’t be found anywhere is the church scene’s version of “Celebration” – however, Kool & the Gang’s original version is available on all music platforms.

There are a couple of playlists on Spotify with the movie’s name and cover, but these are songs inspired by the movie rather than the songs that play throughout Our Little Secret. It’s unlikely the full, official soundtrack will be made available on Spotify or Apple Music, but there will surely be playlists with all the songs.
