On Court: 4-Star recruit on TR.net who has ranked as high as No.44 in his class....four year starter for Saint Francis HS boys tennis team...won CIF Southern Section high school singles title as a senior...in June of 2019, played clay court open tournaments in France with four other college players...qualified for singles and doubles at National Boys 18s in Kalamazoo, MI and reached the third round of doubles...also reached the final of 2019 USTA National Father-Son Grass Courts in Boston...2019-2020: made Stags Tennis debut at the ITA West Regionals as the No. 8 seed in singles, reaching the semifinals before losing to teammate Jack Katzman in three sets...reached the quarterfinals of the doubles with Parodi as the third seeds...finished the fall with ITA singles rankings of No. 9 in the west and No. 26 nationally, and No. 9 in the west doubles with Parodi...played in five matches on Stags trip to Hawaii in January, winning both singles at the No. 4 position against HPU and Trinity, and winning two of three doubles at No. 1 with Parodi...won his next three singles at No. 2 and No. 4 to stay undefeated in his first five matches...had key wins at ITA National Team Indoors at No. 4 singles against Case Western, and at No. 1 doubles against Case Western and Emory...finished the shortened season on a strong note with convincing wins in singles and doubles against Wash U. at La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club on March 7...completed his first-year campaign with records of 10-3 in singles and 12-4 in doubles...one of 11 Stags to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete accolades for his better than 3.5 GPA during the 2019-2020 academic year...earned a year-end singles ranking of No. 13 in the West Region, and No. 2 in the West and No. 3 nationally with Parodi in doubles...recognized as the West Region's ITA Rookie of the Year, while garnering ITA All-American honors in doubles, becoming just the third first-year player to do so in the last decade of Stags Tennis...2021-2022:reached the quarterfinals of the ITA West Regional singles, falling to partner Matt Robinson 4-6, 6-3, 6-2...seeded second in the doubles, he and Robinson reached the round of 16 before losing in a tie-break...completed the fall with 2-1 singles record and 1-1 in doubles...began the spring dual season at No. 5 singles and No. 2 doubles at USC...went 4-3 in his first seven singles matches at Nos. 3-4, and 4-4 in doubles with Robinson and Carroll at No. 2...was sidelined for most of March with an injury, but came back strong in early April to be an impact player for the Stags down the stretch...completed 2022 with overall records of 7-5 in singles and 12-12 in doubles...earned ITA Scholar-Athlete honors for his excellence in the classroom...and named team captain for 2023...2022-2023: spent the Fall 2022 season abroad in Italy...returned in the spring to play a crucial leadership role in taking CMS to the NCAA team semifinals...played almost exclusively at No. 3 singles and No. 2 doubles where he was 17-7 in singles and 13-13 in doubles with five different partners...anchored the middle part of the Stags singles lineup in the final stretch of the regular and post-season, winning 12 of his final 14 matches from March 30...his memorable straight set win against Pomona-Pitzer's Kush Patel in the SCIAC tournament on April 28 not only clinched the Stags 16th straight league title, but reversed his result with Patel a mere six days earlier at Pomona-Pitzer...earned 2nd Team All-SCIAC honors for the first time in his career...will return for his final semester of eligibility in the spring of 2024…2023-2024: returned as captain for his final semester of collegiate tennis, playing No. 2 singles and No. 1 doubles and leading CMS to its first NCAA Team Championship match since 2019…finished his senior season with records of 18-9 in singles and 20-14 in doubles, playing exclusively with Matt Robinson at the top position…with Robinson, finished 2024 with the No. 1 doubles ranking in the West and No. 7 nationally, and earned his second career ITA All American honor, having done so with Niko Parodi as a freshman in 2020…was at his very best in the Stags’ run to the NCAA final, winning 26 of 29 singles and doubles matches during the final six weeks of the season…continued his success in the classroom, earning his fourth ITA Scholar-Athlete honor and was named to the 3rd team Academic All-America…was voted Team Most Valuable Player by his teammates for the second consecutive year, as well as recipient of the Hank Krieger Trophy, one of four Stags to ever receive that distinction multiple times…concludes his Stags Tennis career with overall records of 52-24 in singles and 57-43 in doubles, and will be remembered for his extraordinary leadership of two of CMS’ best teams ever in his final two seasons.
