Do baby companies send you free stuff? ›

You can sometimes get samples at stores like Buy Buy Baby or when you do a registry at some stores. Companies like Pampers, Huggies or Luvs give out coupons and have reward point systems. You can also sign up for a diaper bank if you need.

First-time-mom baby registries typically include between 100 and 120 items. This should be more than enough to cover everything you will need for your baby. Because with any type of baby registry, the aim is to only get things for your baby that you will actually need and use.

And don't hesitate to mention how important your baby registry is to you and how hard you've worked on it. Saying something like, “We put so much thought into our baby registry and we're so excited for you to see what we've chosen!” can serve as a gentle reminder to nudge gift-givers toward a registry purchase.

Welcome Box: Walmart offers a free welcome box (valued at about $40) that includes baby-related product samples. The samples vary from box to box, but you can expect items like a small bottle of lotion, a pacifier, a sample diaper, coupons and more.

To get companies to send you free stuff, including samples and coupons, you can take a direct approach by simply asking. You can also try signing up for newsletters, as well as complaining when a product is bad. Most companies want to keep their customers happy, so they'll often send you products if you just ask.

That said, it's totally acceptable to put some expensive items on your registry. You can list the things you need, including items like car seats and cribs. Pooling together for group presents is popular, and several friends might pitch in to get a stroller or crib.

Calculation Method: Determine your average daily usage of baby wipes. Multiply this number by the number of days in a month. For example, if you use an average of 5 wipes per day and there are 30 days in the month, you would need approximately 150 wipes for that month.

The rule of thumb is to include a little more than 2 gifts per number of guests invited. So if you're inviting 100 people to your wedding, you should include about 225-250 items on your registry. Although this may seem high, it ensures that guests will have ample options when it comes time to pick out your gift.

You can get free milk, infant formula, vitamins, fruit and vegetables if you're receiving certain benefits or if you're under 18.

Ask at a Health Care Provider's Office. Pediatricians and local hospitals are great resources to get free diapers. Often they'll have a ton of samples on hand. They can also help you sign up with special clubs that give out baby freebies like free diapers and free baby formula.
